Look + Learn: Demo and Theory w/optional Hands-On
Inspired by James Clear’s Atomic Habits, this class focuses on creating systems (the math) in order to understand the cut process (dexterity). There are a few basic principles in cutting hair that every hairdresser should master: how to properly move through hair and execute seamlessly, knowledge of the head shape, technically verbalize terminology and methodology, and drawing head sheets. If you continuously and intentionally apply these foundational elements 1% better every day in your craft, you will exponentially advance your work.
This is a three part class: the first part will consist of a live haircut demonstration, second part will focus on understanding the different systems in hair cutting, and the third added/optional hands on portion will include an in-depth cutting practice on mannequin heads.
